Grandmas House return with new single, "DOG"
Grandmas House have released their new song, "DOG", the band's first new music of 2026.
"DOG" follows Grandmas House's 2025 EP Anything For You. The track was produced by Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Perfume Genius, Yard Act), and written during a time when one of the band members was struggling with chronic illness for over two years.
Speaking about the track, the band say: “‘DOG’ is about a feeling, written whilst struggling with a chronic illness that no professional could explain. We all have something that burdens us in life, be it mental health, chronic illness, grief, trauma or heartbreak. It’s always there, waiting around the corner."
On their experience of working with Chant, they add: “Working with Ali Chant on this in the studio was a cathartic experience. We’ve been playing this song live for a while now and it’s become a staple on our setlist, so we didn’t know how it was going to translate to a recorded track. Ali really saw our vision and captured the urgency of the song along with its dark harmonies and layered vocals.”
"DOG" is out now on Brace Yourself Records
