Gorillaz share new single, “Damascus”, featuring Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey
Gorillaz have released “Damascus” featuring Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey, the latest preview of their upcoming album, The Mountain.
“Damascus” was written by Damon Albarn, Syrian singer Omar Souleyman, and rapper Yasiin Bey, and recorded in Damascus, London, Devon, Mumbai and New York. The track has already been previewed live, having received its debut at a surprise performance of The Mountain at London’s Copper Box Arena back in September, and was further featured in performances at Madrid’s Gaia Festival and Together For Palestine at Wembley Arena.
“Damascus” is the fourth track to be revealed from The Mountain, following previous singles “The God of Lying” (feat. IDLES), “The Manifesto” (feat. Trueno and Proof), and “The Happy Director” (feat. Sparks). The accompanying visualiser will be available to watch from 4PM BST.
The Mountain is due for release on 27 February 2026 via KONG
