Gorillaz mark 25 years with headline slot at Madrid’s new eco-conscious festival Pulse of Gaia
Marking their only show outside of their UK Exhibition shows for 2025, Gorillaz have been announced as headliners for Pulse of Gaia – a new Madrid festival mixing live music with environmental awareness.
Damon Albarn will be joined by the full live band, with visuals from long-time collaborator Jamie Hewlett, for a set spanning eight albums, from their 2001 debut to 2023’s Cracker Island. Joining Gorillaz on the lineup are Thundercat, techno producer Maceo Plex, and electronic artist EREZ, with more names expected in the coming months.
The festival is the latest project from Zamna Group, developed in partnership with global conservation nonprofit Re:wild. Set across the grounds of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Pulse of Gaia blends live performance with large-scale visual installations, panel discussions, and sustainability-led programming.
For each ticket sold, €2 will be donated to Re:wild to support biodiversity conservation. Tickets are on sale now via pulseofgaiafestival.com.
