God of War detail new album, molly picture
God of War — the project of They Are Gutting A Body of Water’s Douglas Dulgarian and Hooky’s Scott Turner and Sam Silbert — have announced their new album, molly picture, and released new singles, "mickey don't pose" and "new deal".
molly picture follows God of War's 2023 debut album, serotonin, and sees the Philadelphia trio regroup once more after releasing projects with their respective bands. "mickey don't pose" and "new deal" arrive today as the first previews of the new collection of songs, as well as a music video to accompany "mickey don't pose", directed by They Are Gutting A Body Of Water collaborator David Luna.
Blending pop songwriting and melancholic instrumentals, the sound of God of War is described as the "feeling of getting lost in a video game or skate video", capturing a glitchy mid-2000s nostalgia.
