girl in red is back with new single “blue” and accompanying video
Norwegian indie pop artist girl in red, aka Marie Ulven Ringheim, has released a new single titled “blue” via Columbia Records.
The track follows another standalone single, "Hemingway", released in May of last year.
Marie Ulven stars in the official video, filmed in Oslo, offering an intimate look at a couple over the years, homing in on the small moments that shaped their story.
Ahead of the release, fans chittered about the teaser campaign. The red sweater in the artwork for “we fell in love in october” quietly turned blue. Ulven’s Instagram icon of Mozart changed from a red shirt to blue, and her handle @girlinred became @girlinblue. Each clue signalled that something new was on the way. More music is expected soon. girl in red's last full-length record was I'm Doing It Again Baby!, released in April 2024 and featuring a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
