Getdown Services detail forthcoming EP, Primordial Slot Machine
Bristol’s Getdown Services have announced their forthcoming EP, Primordial Slot Machine, alongside the release of its lead single, "Eat Quiche, Sleep, Repeat".
"This song is about accepting there’s a chance our bitterness won’t ever fully go away. Trying to wrap your head round the idea of learning to manage things as opposed to getting rid," the band explain. "We’ve spent most of our lives thinking one day we’ll somehow become these happy go lucky positive members of society and this song is about accepting that maybe we won’t and maybe we don’t have to. Maybe we’ll be fine as we are: Happy a lot of the time but always at least Semi-Miserable."
Getdown Services have also announced a UK headline tour, including their biggest show to date at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on 10 November. Ahead of this, they play a sold out show at The Dome in Tufnell Park on 29 May.
