Folk Bitch Trio navigate unrequited love on new single, "Moth Song"
Folk Bitch Trio — the Melbourne/Naarm-based band of Gracie Sinclair, Jeanie Pilkington and Heide Peverelle — have release the new single, "Moth Song", taken from their debut album, Now Would Be A Good Time.
“Moth Song” is about unrequited love. In Sinclair’s words, the song is about “being so spun out by everything that you feel like you’re delusional and hallucinating crazy things”. The accompanying visualiser was edited by the band from a behind the scenes video from the recording of the album.
The strongest link between the trio, aside from friendship, is music. “We all talked about loving music when we were growing up, and knowing we wanted music to be a big part of our lives,” says Pilkington. “But for me at least, when I looked into the future, it was this relatively mysterious thing.”
Folk Bitch Trio return to the UK this summer for a headline tour which includes a London show at The Lexington on 26 August, and will also make an appearance at All Points East and Green Man festival.
Now Would Be A Good Time, is set for release on 25 July via Jagjaguwar, and is available to pre-order now. Tickets are on sale now and available here.
