FOCUS Wales Festival unveils full film programme for 2024
The full programme for Wales’ newest BAFTA-Cymru accredited film festival has been announced.
The event, set to take place on 10-11 May at Theatr Ial, Coleg Cambria in Wrexham, with the headline feature film, The Almond and Seahorse, starring Rebel Wilson and Celyn Jones. Renowned cinematographer Leighton Cox will host a special event, sharing his expertise from working on acclaimed shows for Disney+, Netflix, and more. Cox, celebrated for his recent Emmy win for Welcome to Wrexham.
Other film highlights include Dim Ond Ti a Mi by Gruff Lynch, The Robin and the Wren by Léa Sautin, Collaboration by Martin Cannon, and A Cross to Bare by Joseff Morgan.
FOCUS Wales recently announced its recognition as one of only eight festivals in Wales to achieve the coveted BAFTA Cymru accreditation. This accomplishment places FOCUS Wales among the distinguished company of IRIS Prize, Cardiff Animation Festival, Abertoir, and others in Wales. Plus Cannes, Sundance, SXSW, Toronto and more internationally.
