Finn Wolfhard directs first-ever music video for George Harrison's “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)"
Actor, musician, and director Finn Wolfhard has taken the lead on directing the first music video for George Harrison’s 1973 single “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)", from his second solo album Living in the Material World.
The video uses stop-motion to capture visuals of Friar Park, incorporating references to George Harrison's life and career. The animation came of a collaboration between Toronto-based studio Nobody Told Me Studios and animation house Tye Down Pictures, who put together a team of twenty artists to make each element in the video by hand. With Finn Wolfhard in the director's chair, Jason Baum and Michael Wamara produced the video, while George Harrison's son, Dhani Harrison, is credited as executive producer alongside David Zonshine
"To work with the Harrison family and bring this video to life with a team of incredible young Canadian artists has been a great honor. It’s hard to put into words how grateful I am for this opportunity. George Harrison has and will continue to be a huge inspiration to me, and his work will live on forever," Wolfhard says of making the music video.
On working with Wolfhard, Dhani Harrison adds: “Finn is one of the sweetest and most talented people I know of his generation, and he is the perfect person to direct a video for my dad. My dad would have loved this, and I hope his wonderful, creative, heartfelt ideas help this song reach another generation. Great job, Finn — we love you.”
