Fink unveil new song, "Wishing For Blue Sky"
Fink have shared "Wishing For Blue Sky", the second single from their upcoming ninth album, The City Is Coming to Erase It All.
"Wishing For Blue Sky" follows lead single "Memorise Your Senses", released last month, and chronicles the teenage ache of waiting for life to start.
Speaking about the song, singer-songwriter and guitarist Fin Greenall says: "This track is track one on the record and pretty much defined what we were going for. He continues: “In the pre-internet era, the only way to let my parents know I was ok was the occasional telephone call from a relative’s house or many postcards from the various edges that I got to. I worked as a builder when I ran out of money in Northern BC to get us home, but at the time this song is based I hadn't worked any of that out yet. I just knew it was time to get going, eyeing up the tip jar 'til it overflowed..."
