Feldspar share "Family Man" ahead of new album Soft Side
Rome-based emo-pop band Feldspar have released "Family Man", the final preview from their forthcoming album Soft Side, which arrives on 9 October.
Soft Side was produced by Jon Markson (The Story So Far, One Step Closer) and Alan Day (Four Year Strong, Alex Melton) at Animal Farm Studio in Flemington, NJ. Across ten tracks, the lyrics takes in addiction, community, intimacy, family expectations, and finding success on your own terms, while the music splits the difference between Wishy and Militarie Gun.
Feldspar formed in 2023 and named themselves after a mineral worn by covert Roman clergy. The project was founded by Riccardo Zamurri and Stefano Casanica, a songwriter and producer whose credits include Undertakers and Crude.
The sound is defined by multiple vocals and members (eight of them, notably London-raised Gwen Mowat). The album’s final preview follows the track "Heart Is a Ghetto", which arrived with an official video.
Soft Side is released on 9 October
