Fat Dog detail second album, Cancel Me (I’m Tired)

Fat Dog have announced their upcoming album, Cancel Me (I’m Tired), and unveiled the title track.

Cancel Me (I'm Tired) follows Fat Dog's 2024 debut album WOOF, and sees the South London seven-piece return for more "electro-punk-art-pop-rock’n’roll-space-country" across ten tracks.

Today, they share the title track, which was inspired by by John Lennon’s “How Do You Sleep”, as well as singer Joe Love's take on what Anatolian psych-rock out Altın Gün would sound like on the club floor. The new song follows previous single "Go Fuck Urself", which dropped back in May.

As Fat Dog have been touring the world extensively, the album came together when Love returned to London and went straight into recording sessions. “At some point on that tour, everyone had a small breakdown of some sort,” he says of their time on the road.

While the sound remains high-powered and restless, the lyrics on Cancel Me (I'm Tired) are said to reflect on a number of themes ranging from addiction, love, and family, to aliens and H&M.

This week, Fat Dog are set to hit the road again to support Foo Fighters for EU dates. Following the release, they'll also be making several festival appearances before embarking on an autumn UK headline tour, which will include shows in London, Manchester, Bristol, and more.
