Far Caspian shares final album teaser, "Whim"
Irish musician Joel Johnston – AKA Far Caspian – has shared "Whim" as the final single to be previewed from his forthcoming album, Autofiction.
Far Caspian recorded Autofiction entirely in his Leeds studio, where he produced, mixed, and played every instrument heard on the album.
Freeing himself from any internal judgments or inhibitions, Johnston wrote songs for the album with a simple motto: “I’m enjoying this right now and therefore it’s good enough.” The process helped him reconnect with the joy of music, the reason he started making it in the first place.
Far Caspian will celebrate Autofiction’s release with a run of US, UK, and EU headlining tour dates this Autumn, including stops at Dublin’s The Grand Social, London’s Scala, Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, and Los Angeles’ Echoplex.
Autofiction will be released on 25 July via his own imprint Tiny Library Records (22° halo, SOMOH), and is available to pre-order. Tickets for Far Caspian's tour are on sale now.
