Factory Floor reveal plans for first new album in ten years, One Trip

27 October 2026, 18:00 | Written by Kayla Sandiford

Electronic trio Factory Floor have announced their upcoming album, One Trip, and shared double single “Continuation / One Trip”.

Factory Floor will release One Trip digitally next month via Phantasy Sound, with a vinyl release following on 4 December. The album marks their first in a decade, following 2016's 2525.

Alongside the announcement, the trio share double single "Continuation / One Trip", showcasing two distinct sides of their creative direction. "Continuation" is described as dreamy, expansive and euphoric, written in spare moments between appearances at Berghain, Corsica Studios and festivals such as MUTEK and Simple Things. “One Trip” leans into the darker side of the group’s sound, described as one of their most intense dancefloor tracks yet.

The band have built a reputation as one of the UK's most uncompromising electronic live acts, evolving from raw, noise-driven beginnings into a sound that explores the outer edges of techno, minimalism, acid and post-industrial rhythms. Originally a trio featuring Gabe Gurnsey, Nik Colk Void and Dominic Butler, they released their self-titled debut via DFA Records in 2012. Following Butler's departure, the band continued as a duo.

Now performing and recording as a trio comprised of original members Gabe Gurnsey on drums, percussion and electronics and Nik Colk Void on modular synth and vocals, alongside new member Joe Ward on additional percussion — who joined following the departure of Dominic Butler — the band's return began in Montreal in 2024, when MUTEK founder Alain Mongeau invited Void to bring Factory Floor back for a live performance. This welcomed their new chapter, with Void and Gurnsey deciding reforming the band with Ward.

"After the MUTEK performance, we felt an appetite to work in a space where artists could connect emotionally and physically, both in the studio and on a live stage," the band explain. "These environments hold more than sound; they carry a visceral energy that comes from being together. It's something we'd really missed as solo artists, and it made us want to explore that kind of experience again."
