Exit Kid release new single "Icarus"
London-based neo-grunge duo Exit Kid share new single "Icarus" today as the second preview of the band’s debut album slated for release later this year.
""Icarus" is about our increasingly stubborn refusal to confront life in all its messiness. Instead, we chase a comfortable moral high-ground, forgetting the lessons of the past. Reality will always pull us back down to earth with a crash," says vocalist Emre Türkmen.
Exit Kid met fatefully during the 2017 tour of Türkmen's former band Years and Years. Since then, they've made a name for themselves with a string of releases, including their Basis (2022) and Garden (2021) EPs. "Icarus" follows previous releases, "Classic Lie" and "I Lied".
"Icarus" is out now.
