A nationwide live music weekend is set to replace the Glastonbury gap this summer, with more than 400 grassroots venues across the UK hosting hundreds of shows from 26 to 28 June. Music Venue Trust (MVT) and The National Lottery have launched Everywhere At Once, a three-day event designed to spotlight the venues and artists that typically underpin the festival season.

More than 2,000 artists are scheduled to perform, ranging from established names to local and emerging acts. Becky Hill will return to The Marrs Bar in Worcester, where she first played original material as a teenager. Tinie Tempah will appear in Newcastle, Norwich, and Southampton. The Lathums have confirmed two shows, including a return to The Boulevard in Wigan, while Rizzle Kicks will play a hometown Brighton set. Also confirmed are The Divine Comedy, Master Peace, Jodie Harsh, Toddla T, Brooke Combe, VLURE, Royston Club, Miki Berenyi Trio, Tom A. Smith, and Vigilantes.

Everywhere at once

“Without places like The Boulevard taking a chance on us early doors, we wouldn’t be anywhere near the festivals or the bigger shows we’re doing now,” said The Lathums’ Alex Moore. “We’re buzzing to get back there.”

Becky Hill recalled her own formative experiences at The Marrs Bar, where she played at 16: “In these early days it was venues like this that allowed a very young me to begin to learn how to perform, sing and play guitar on stage, gaining my confidence and broadening my experience as a teenager.”

The initiative positions itself as an alternative to the traditional festival model: no camping, no traffic, and no trek to a remote field. Instead, ticketholders will attend shows in their local areas, with venues ranging from Falmouth to Aberdeen.

The National Lottery has been a significant funder of grassroots music, with more than £1 billion directed to music across the UK via player contributions. MVT and The National Lottery previously collaborated on the Revive Live Tour in 2021, which helped venues reopen after Covid-19 lockdowns. Everywhere At Once is being delivered alongside Save Our Scene and the Association of Independent Promoters.

At point of purchase, audiences will be able to donate to War Child, Nordoff and Robbins, Help Musicians UK, and Teenage Cancer Trust.
