Richard Russell's Everything Is Recorded project has returned with new single, “Wear and Tear”, which sees the XL boss reunite with former collaborators Sampha, Florence Welch and Jah Wobble alongside singer Danielle Ponder and Black Midi drummer Morgan Simpson.

"Wear and Tear" follows the release of Temporary, Everything Is Recorded’s third album, released back in February this year, and Solstice Equinox, a collection of improvised recordings that also included the likes of Alabaster DePlume, Ibeyi, Samantha Morton, Laura Groves, Jack Peñate, Roses Gabor, Mary In The Junkyard and Georgia as well as Florence and Sampha.

The song, recorded at Russell’s West London Copper House studio comes ahead of Everything Is Recorded's show at Gilles Peterson’s We Out Here festival this weekend. Following recent live performances at Massive Attack’s LIDO festival, Tasmania’s Dark Mofo, and the Manchester International Festival, a headline show at London’s Village Underground is set for 4 November.

“Wear and Tear” is available to stream now via XL Recordings.
