Essy Sparrow captures summer love on new single, "Weak At The Knees"
Singer-songwriter Essy Sparrow has released "Weak At The Knees", the latest single from her upcoming EP, Gossip From A Coastal Town, due in October.
"Weak At The Knees" follows previous single "Weddings and Funerals". The track was produced by CJ Pandit, and serves as an ode to the ten-year relationship between Sparrow and her partner.
“This month is my wedding anniversary to my husband of 9 years," Sparrow explains. "I wanted it to sound like a traditional coastal wedding by the sea. A village showing up to watch a couple renew their vows on a hillside. I wanted to sum up love, summer and the feeling of the UK coast as much as possible.
We recorded it in Cornwall and underneath the entire track are live recordings of our seaside town, you hear the seagulls peak through and waves from our local beach too. The result is a coastal folk-pop love song that feels like you're riding a boat through the water into the summer sun.”
Gossip From A Coastal Town is released on 2 October
