Esperanza Spalding and Milton Nascimento to release album featuring Paul Simon and Lianne La Havas
Esperanza Spalding and Milton Nascimento have announced a new collaborative album, Milton + Esperanza, featuring the likes of Paul Simon and Lianne La Havas.
Alongside the album's announcement, the duo have shared lead single, “Outubro”, which is a rework of the original that appeared on Nascimento’s 1969 album Courage. Among the album are five re-interpretations of Nascimento’s own material – "Outubro" being the oldest of them all. There is also a cover of “A Day in the Life” by The Beatles and Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song.”
Milton + Esperanza also features collaborations with Paul Simon, Lianne La Havas, Maria Gadú, Dianne Reeves, Tim Bernardes, Carolina Shorter, and Shabaka Hutchings, and more.
