es.cher announces debut mixtape, Scattered sunlight, broken glass
London-based artist, guitarist and producer es.cher has announced their debut mixtape, Scattered sunlight, broken glass, alongside the release of double A side, "Luna, easy to forget."
es.cher's recent releases are taken from an upcoming project that was part inspired by a quote about evoking imagery through vivid details from Russian playwright and short story writer Anton Chekhov, in a letter to his brother.
"In descriptions of nature, one must seize on small details, grouping them so that when the reader closes his eyes he gets a picture. For instance, you’ll have a moonlit night if you write that on the mill dam a piece of glass from a broken bottle glittered like a bright little star, and that the black shadow of a dog or a wolf rolled past like a ball".
Scattered sunlight, broken glass follows their their 2023 release genr.es (let go/what breaks-1) and the 2024 EP 01.3. es.cher will be headlining The Shacklewell Arms in London on 12 November. Tickets are on sale from 15 August.
Scattered sunlight, broken glass is set to be released independently on 26 September, and is available to pre-save now.
