"No lead up, no singles, and no explanation": Enter Shikari surprise release new album Lose Your Self
Enter Shikari have released a surprise drop album Lose Your Self, a 12-track collection that frontman Rou Reynolds says will "force the listener to actually listen, without being drip-fed ideas out of context, or spoon-fed explanations."
“We want people to go on a proper journey with this album, and see where it takes them,” Reynolds adds. “No lead up, no singles, and no explanation."
“Despite turning out to be one our darkest and heaviest albums to date, it also preaches hope and offers answers. Shikari will always offer hope, because without hope there is no action.”
The band have announced three intimate album launch shows later this month to mark the album's release: Liverpool’s The Cavern on 23 April, The Fighting Cocks in Kingston on 24 April, and Signature Brew in London on 25 April. Tickets go on sale next week (15 April).
The surprise LP also precedes a major UK and EU arena tour scheduled for November, which includes two nights at Alexandra Palace in London on 20 and 21 November. Every ticket sold for UK arena dates includes a £1 donation to the Music Venue Trust, a scheme Enter Shikari first introduced on their 2024 arena tour and which has since been adopted by Sam Fender and Coldplay.
Lose Your Self is also available on CD and vinyl from today.
