Silver Gore tackle a Misfits cover for their secret session at End of the Road
Silver Gore – the duo consisting of singer-drummer Ava Gore and producer Ethan P. Flynn – played a surprise set today for The Line of Best Fit as part of our programme of secret sessions at End of the Road Festival.
As part of the set, Gore and Flynn put their spin on “Hybrid Moments” by The Misfits, a cut from the American punk band’s 1985 album Legacy of Brutality, with Gore on vocals and Flynn on piano. Although rain returned towards the end of the set, a keen audience still remained. “Thanks for sitting in the rain!” Gore acknowledged before the duo left the stage.
After forming in 2023, the pair began selling out shows in London and have since released their first singles “Dogs In Heaven”, “Forever”, and “All The Good Men”, with their debut EP Dogs In Heaven due for release on 12 September via Island Records.
For nearly fifteen years, The Line Of Best Fit has partnered with End Of The Road Festival to host secret sessions at the Piano Stage – an intimate setup tucked away in the woodland of Larmer Tree Gardens. More than 100 artists have taken part in the secret sessions - from modern music legends such as Big Thief, Wilco, The Magnetic Fields, St Vincent, Future Islands, Yo La Tengo and Perfume Genius to Best Fit favourites Kurt Vile, Lucy Dacus, Soccer Mommy, Courtney Barnett, Yard Act, Kara Jackson, and Moses Sumney.
The secret sessions continue this afternoon and across the remaining two days of the festival, with fifteen artists scheduled to perform.
End of the Road continues this evening with headline sets from Caribou, Joy Orbison and Matt Berninger.
Earlybird tickets for the festival’s 20th anniversary edition in 2026 will be onsale from Tuesday 2 September via endoftheroadfestival.com
