The Orchestra (For Now) open Best Fit secret sessions at End Of The Road festival
On the second day of End Of The Road, Joe Scarisbrick – frontman of Brixton Windmill scene breakout band The Orchestra (For Now) – played an exclusive set to open Best Fit secret sessions on the Piano Stage.
Accompanied by guitarist Bill Bickerstaff on background vocals, the pair performed two original unreleased songs, ending with a cover of Lou Reed’s ‘Perfect Day’, bringing a touch of humour to the sunny afternoon as Joe encouraged the audience to join in: “Sing along! Not the verses, though. Because I might get the verses wrong, and you might get them right, and that would be embarrassing.”
For nearly fifteen years, The Line Of Best Fit has partnered with End Of The Road Festival to host secret sessions at the Piano Stage – an intimate setup tucked away in the woodland of Larmer Tree Gardens. More than 100 artists have taken part in the secret sessions - from modern music legends such as Big Thief, Wilco, The Magnetic Fields, St Vincent, Future Islands, Yo La Tengo and Perfume Genius to Best Fit favourites Kurt Vile, Lucy Dacus, Soccer Mommy, Courtney Barnett, Yard Act, Kara Jackson, and Moses Sumney.
The secret sessions will continue to be hosted over the rest of the afternoon and the remaining two days of the festival, with fourteen artists scheduled to perform.
Earlybird tickets for the festival’s 20th anniversary edition in 2026 will be onsale from Tuesday 2 September via endoftheroadfestival.com
