The Orchestra (For Now) play surprise covers set at End of the Road Festival

The Orchestra (For Now) took to The Folly to close out the second day of End of the Road festival as one of three surprise shows for the night.

After playing an intimate Best Fit secret session earlier in the day, followed by a packed-out performance at The Garden stage, the South London band appeared in the early hours of the morning for their third show of the day.

Eschewing their own material – and sandwiched between secret sets from Adam Buxton and C.O.F.F.I.N. – the seven-piece played a packed covers set that included MJ Lenderman’s “She’s Leaving You”, The Last Dinner Party’s “Nothing Matters” and The Smiths’ “Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now”.

Born out of the iconic Brixton Windmill scene, The Orchestra (For Now) have generated widespread buzz since winning last year’s Green Man Rising competition and releasing their debut EP Plan 75 back in March.

End of the Road Festival continues today with headline sets from Self Esteem, DIIV, and Viagra Boys.

Earlybird tickets for the festival’s 20th anniversary edition in 2026 will be onsale from Tuesday 2 September via endoftheroadfestival.com
