TTSSFU performs Silver Jews cover and reveals new song for Best Fit’s secret session at End of the Road

04 September 2026, 15:00 | Written by Sophie Leigh Walker

Curated by Best Fit, TTSSFU is the latest surprise at End of the Road’s piano stage. The Wigan born musician Tasmin Stephens chose to cover Silver Jews’ “Trains Across the Sea” and performed new, unreleased track 'Suicide Bed'.

Performing deep in the woods on a stage decorated like a pink frosted birthday cake in honour of End of the Road’s sold-out 20th anniversary edition, TTSSFU’s secret session arrives ahead of her Sunday performance at the Big Top.

Every act invited to perform a secret session includes one cover among a couple of their own songs, and TTSSFU also chose to unveil new single 'Suicide Bed' which she had never performed before. Her set follows on from Modern Woman and Prewn.

Speaking on her connection to Silver Jews, she shared with Best Fit: "I was on one of my first tours with this band and this song came on in the car. I was like, 'What is this song? It sounds so good!' They told me it was Silver Jews, and I'd been told by a lot of friends that they'd become one of my favourite bands but I'd always put it aside. After I heard them for the first time, I couldn't wait to see them live - and that was when I found out that David Berman was dead. I was absolutely heartbroken, and through that heartbreak I became religiously attached to this song. It's one of the best songs ever written."
