Elmiene surprises fans with a new EP, Live at RAK Studios
Oxford-based artist Elmiene has surprised fans with a new live EP, allowing listeners into intimate sessions recorded at North London’s legendary RAK Studios.
The four-track set comprises the core of his latest release Marking My Time, and comes accompanied by a performance video of "Marking My Time (Live at RAK Studios)" as well as "Someday (Live at RAK Studios)" which was shared last month - with the remaining two videos dropping in the coming days.
Live at RAK Studios preludes a huge year for the rising Oxford artist, as he came in at number five on this year’s BBC Radio 1 Sound of 2024 poll.
Lasst year, Elmiene released a pair of EPs, the independent El-Mean in March, followed by Marking My Time, released via Polydor/Def Jam in October. The latter sees the 22-year-old logging a personal and emotional checkpoint as his pace of life begins to increase. Contributors on the record include Sampha, Syd, Lil Silva, DJ Dahi, Jim-E Stack and Jamie Woon.
Live at RAK Studios is out now via Polydor/Def Jam.
