Elín Hall shares first English-language single, "Heaven To A Heathen"
Award-winning artist Elín Hall has returned with new single, "Heaven To A Heathen", marking the first time she has released music in the English language.
The track follows her Icelandic-language album heyríst í mér? which was crowned Album of the Year at the Reykjavík Grapevine Music Awards.
Speaking on "Heaven To A Heathen", she shares: “The song is, in its own way, about being addicted to feeling bad — a kind of love letter to the pain that becomes your shelter, your comfort zone. Toxic relationships or toxic mindsets. Sometimes it’s more terrifying to break a pattern than to stay stuck in it. As humans, we’re wired to fear uncertainty. But the only way to live this short life is to leap.’”
Alongside her ventures in music, Hall’s craft as an actress has reached new heights. Her Cannes-selected role in When the Light Breaks (2024) earned Best Actress at the Chicago International Film Festival and Iceland’s Edda Awards, and she was selected as European Shooting Star 2025.
