Eel Men announce new EP, Glass Hammers
North London-based band Eel Men have shared the details of their upcoming EP, Glass Hammers, and shared title track "Glass Hammers".
Glass Hammers follows Eel Men's 2025 self-released debut, Stop It! Do Something, with the lead single introducing a direction described as more expansive and rhythm-driven. The band note that lyrically, the track addresses a “decline in human competence" brought about by distractions and disconnection.
Recorded live to tape at Gizzard Studios in Hackney Wick with Ed Deegan, Glass Hammers uses tragedy and comedy to explore themes of desperation through elements of funk, art rock and experimental pop. As the band explain, the EP is about “that moment a kid falls over and looks up… deciding whether to cry or laugh.”
