Drain Gang’s Bladee details Sulfur Surfer album and summer dates with Yung Lean
Swedish artist Bladee has announced a new album, Sulfur Surfer, due for release on 20 May, alongside the lead single “Blondie”.
The record was produced by Whitearmor, a close collaborator and fellow member of the Drain Gang collective. It also features a contribution from experimental group Current 93. Sulfur Surfer follows 2024’s COLD VISIONS.
This summer, Bladee will perform at several festivals across Europe and North America alongside his longtime friend and fellow Swedish artist Yung Lean. Confirmed dates include Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash in Chicago on 13 June, Roskilde Festival in Denmark on 3 July, and Boiler Room in London on 1 August.
Born and raised in Stockholm, Bladee first gained attention in 2013 with an emotionally charged, genre‑blurring approach to rap. His music draws on disparate internet influences, helping shape the highly unclassifiable sound associated with Drain Gang (Thaiboy Digital, Ecco2k, Whitearmor).
