Dog Unit announce second album, Runners

Runners follows the Dog Unit's 2024 debut At Home and is designed as one body of work, best listened to in its full entirety across its 42-minute runtime.

The band have shared three previews of the album: "Tiny Diversions", "Everybody Has a Favourite Pin", and "The Knowledge". "Tiny Diversions" described as the ideal bridge between the worlds of At Home and Runners, and it comes alongside a video directed by guitarist and omnichordist Sam Walton. "Everybody Has a Favourite Pin" is said to bring together all of the band's skills and tastes, while "The Knowledge" is a more straightforward pop song.

Runners was made over the first four months of 2026 at the band's studio in Limehouse, East London, and saw them work alongside producer Mark Estall, as well as a string quartet and reappointed experimental bass clarinetist Heather Roche.

Dog Unit will tour the UK in February 2027, including shows in Brighton, Manchester, Edinburgh and Bristol, plus a special London headline show at ICA on 23 February. A listening party will also be held on 29 October at The Wood Street Bear in Walthamstow.
