dodie has announced a deluxe edition of Not For Lack Of Trying, due 23 October via Fontana Records, with new double A-side “Fruit in the Sun” and “HE CAN DO A PUSH-UP” arriving on 28 August and fresh UK and North American dates.
The expanded version of dodie's 2025 album, produced with Joe Rubel, brings together the two new songs with reworked versions of tracks from the original collection, recorded live with friends at a countryside studio on the artist’s 31st birthday.
“How to deluxify your second album? Book a recording session with all your musical mates on your 31st birthday in the countryside-based studio you love, and relearn/replay some of your faves all together!” dodie said.
Alongside the release, dodie has announced “Not For Lack of Clarinets”, an intimate tour in which she reimagines Not For Lack Of Trying live and in full, with every song rescored for two clarinets. UK dates include Manchester on 23 October, Glasgow on 25 October, and London on 26 October. North American shows follow in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and New York in November. General sale opens on 28 August.
