Dinosaur Jr. share new track, "Blowin Up"

Dinosaur Jr. have released "Blowin Up", the second single from their upcoming album, There Near, due in August.

"Blowin Up" follows lead single "Several Got Away", both written by bassist Lou Barlow. It shows a side of the band's sixth album that is tamer in its instrumental sound, but still sharp in its lyricism — familiar attributes of Barlow's songwriting style.

Dinosaur Jr. are currently touring North America alongside co-headliners Band of Horses. Following the album's release, they'll be touring major cities throughout October with support from singer-songwriter Stef Chura.

There Near is released on 28 August via Jagjaguwar
