DeVotchKa to tour UK celebrating ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ soundtrack for 20th anniversary
Colorado group DeVotchKa, who wrote the soundtrack album for Little Miss Sunshine, have announced a five-date UK tour for October 2026, marking the 20th anniversary of the film. The band will perform music from the soundtrack and score, alongside other material from their catalogue.
The tour opens at Glasgow’s Oran Mor on 6 October, followed by Manchester’s Gorilla (7 October), London’s Heaven (9 October), Brighton’s Chalk (10 October) and Bristol’s Lantern (11 October). Tickets are on sale now. Transatlantic folk duo Sons of Town Hall will provide main support across the run.
DeVotchKa’s connection to Little Miss Sunshine began when directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris heard the band on a Santa Monica radio station during production. The band’s sound was subsequently woven into the film’s emotional landscape, with songs including “Til the End of Time” and “How It Ends” featuring prominently. The soundtrack received a Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack Album, while the film itself won two Academy Awards.
The tour is billed as “A Celebration of the Music from Little Miss Sunshine” and will see the Denver-based group revisit the score that introduced many listeners to their orchestral, cinematic style.
