Death Cab For Cutie have released "Punching the Flowers", the newest single from their upcoming album, I Built You A Tower.

"Punching the Flowers" follows lead single "Riptides" as the second preview of I Built You A Tower, and arrives alongside a music video directed by Jason Lester.

Speaking about the song, singer Ben Gibbard explains: "’Punching the Flowers’ is a song about stagnation and the feeling of being imprisoned by The Known. And about the damage done when someone ventures deeper into the unknown."

I Built You a Tower is released on 5 June via ANTI- Records
