Joanne Robertson, Dean Blunt and Elias Rønnenfelt release collaborative album, ancnt grz ’22-25

Yesterday (24 June), the trio of artists each took to Instagram to share a MediaFire link to an eleven-track collection of songs with a photo of the album cover.

This isn't the first collaboration between them, as Blunt and Robertson have previously come together on their 2024 album Backstage Raver, with Rønnenfelt featuring on the album track "repeat offenders". While no further information has been revealed about how this more unofficial release came to be, the album (the title of which is stylised as a knife emoji, blood emoji, and black heart emoji when the songs are opened) can be downloaded as a zip file, with most tracks being no longer than two minutes, coming up to fourteen minutes total.

While Blunt mostly leads on vocals against atmospheric, acoustic and electric guitar-led instrumental arrangements, he not only shares duties with Robertson and Rønnenfelt, but also guest artists A$AP Rocky, Jeremih, Vegyn, Wraith9, evilgiane, and The Last Artful, Dodgr.
