Dazy compiles three years of singles and EPs for new compilation MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2

The 24-track set is sequenced in reverse chronological order, with new songs opening the record. Lead track “Beat Change” is out now.

Goodson said the compilation came about because of his preference for shorter-burst release cycles rather than traditional albums. “I guess maybe I get a little frustrated at the idea that music only counts if it’s coming out in like 10 to 12-song, 30 to 45-minute chunks, every two to three years,” he said. “It’s not that I don’t like albums, but I just also think it’s okay to write and release music at a different pace.”

This is the second volume of its kind in Goodson's back catalog. MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD: The First 24 Songs was released back in 2021. Since Dazy began in 2020, Goodson has released 71 songs, only 12 of which appear on his sole full-length, 2022’s OUTOFBODY.

Dazy begins a North American tour supporting Militarie Gun, Softcult, and Shady Nasty on 6 September in Oklahoma City, wrapping on 15 October in Los Angeles. A tour-only vinyl, BEST OF THE BLAST: Selections From MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Volumes 1 & 2, will be available at shows.
