Dawuna unveils new track, "Wet Sheets / Lip Gloss"
Dawuna — the project of Baltimore-based artist Ian Mugerwa — has released "Wet Sheets / Lip Gloss", the final preview of his upcoming album, Love’s Arp.
"Wet Sheets / Lip Gloss" follows previous singles "Love's Ekongo" and "Be Careful II" as the newest glimpse into a collection of songs which are inspired by the full range of diasporic Black music, with inspiration drawn from East African rhythms to vintage gospel.
Speaking about the track, Mugerwa shares: “'Wet Sheets' is about the simple, carnal passion I would feel looking at Love in the most mundane, domestic spaces. When you got that bug, you feel it.”
Love’s Arp is released on 6 November 2026 via True Panther
