Crack Cloud announce new album, Peace and Purpose

Crack Cloud have announced their fourth album, Peace and Purpose, and shared new single, "Safe Room" alongside spring tour dates

Peace and Purpose follows the Canadian collective's 2024 album Red Mile, and live EP Beyond The Red Mile, which dropped last year. Just a week ago, the band shared a teaser on Instagram, hinting at their return with a carousel of video snippets.

Speaking of the upcoming album, Crack Cloud founder, lead vocalist, and drummer Zach Choy says: "Peace And Purpose was written and recorded in my basement between November 2024, and November 2025. One microphone was used (an SM57), with a variety of junk instruments and speakers. The music was borne from a winter of prolonged grief. My approach to the engineering was a return to hardline principles of DIY; utilizing only what was within possession, and favouring intuition over convention. Like an ayahuasca trip, the sessions were visceral and inspired. Afterward, a sense of relief, and gratitude. The intensity that marked the beginning of this process, and the resolve that came from its conclusion- to me represents the spirit of the record, and the story I wanted to tell."

The new record sees the band reunited with Meat Machine, who released their first two records Pain Olympics and Tough Baby. 2024's Red Mile came out through Secretly imprint Jagjagwuar. The will tour Peace and Purpose in Europe throughout April-May this year, with two shows at the ICA in London (1 and 2 May), as well as Bristol (4 May), Manchester (5 May) and Dublin (7 May).

Peace and Purpose is released on 13 March via Meat Machine
