Courtney Love, Thurston Moore, and members of My Bloody Valentine and Portishead are working on Marianne Faithfull covers project
In a post shared via Instagram on Tuesday (10 September) the project was revealed by My Bloody Valentine’s Deb Googe.
The post shared that she was working on a series of Marianne Faithfull covers alongside Portishead’s Adrian Utley, PJ Harvey collaborator Rob Ellis, Courtney Love, and Thurston Moore.
"I spent a day in The Kinks studio, covering Marianne Faithfull songs with a band that consisted of Courtney Love, Mr T, Barry Reynolds, Adrian Utley, Ben Christophers and Rob Ellis," she wrote. "As Morrisey should have said: some days are bigger than others."
Last year, Cat Power and Iggy Pop joined forces on a cover of Marianne Faithfull's "Working Class Hero" as part of the forthcoming benefit album, The Faithful: A Tribute to Marianne Faithfull which was released in December
There are currently no further details as to what this project may be.
