100%WET have released their new single, "Indigo", and announced that singer Sanna Heinstedt has become a full and permanent member of the band.

Originally formed by producers Casper Munns and Jakob Birch, 100%WET have long collaborated with Heinstedt, who first appeared as a featured vocalist on their 2024 single, "Ether". She has since been a consistent force within the band's creative world, as Munns says: "She’s been a part of the band unofficially for quite a while - we’ve hardly played a show without her for over a year now, so it’s almost old news for us."

"Sanna has been a huge creative force in the process of creating the upcoming sound," Birch adds. "We’re stoked to work with such a powerful voice as Sanna’s and didn’t feel like it wouldn’t be true to the band’s actual process to remain a duo.”

"Indigo" arrives as the first preview of 100%WET's upcoming sound, fusing alt-rock with trip-hop style beats. It also marks a return for the band, following a period of illness for Munns that led to him being placed under an induced coma and forced to cancel shows, writing sessions and their UK live debut.

Discussing the single, Munns explains: “I’ll spare the deeper meaning, but 'Indigo' reminds me of how time can change perspective and create new beauty. When I wrote it, the song came from a dark place - a needy, desperate longing that needed to be forced out. As time has passed, I’ve started to see it more as a love song, a celebration of life. It’s a good reminder that songs can shift. Hearing it again in a different state of mind has completely changed how it feels to me, and I like that it can be left open for the listener to bring their own meaning to it.”

"Indigo" is out now on Crunchy Frog
