Copenhagen artist Yangze details debut album, Heartbreak Stew
Yangze — the moniker of Danish producer and composer Jakob Littauer — has revealed the details of his upcoming first album, Heartbreak Stew, and shared new single "Okay".
Littauer has previously released music and played globally with his techno group Electrojuice, and is noted as one of the youngest to have played Berlin's Berghain club at sixteen years old.
"Okay" arrives as the third preview of his first collection of songs as Yangze, following previous singles "Heart-Shaped Eyes" and "Stew". Contrasting the larger electronic textures on the album, the track is grounded in acoustic riffs and Littauer emotionally-driven vocals.
Littauer is now also a member of the instrumental art group TLF Trio with Cæcilie Trier, who earlier this year opened for Blood Orange across the USA. As a producer, he's worked with a range of artists including Ydegirl, Liss and CTM, and he contributed to the release of Smerz EDITS, featuring on "You Got Time I Got Money" with Clairo.
