Win a luxury weekend at Manchester's Parklife Festival
Desperados is revisiting the heyday of Manchester's legendary club nights Hot & Bugged Out! at this year's Parklife Festival - and we want to send you there.
With club closures and live music venues under threat, promoters and DJs have fewer opportunities to secure residencies at UK venues that they can call ‘home’. The nightlife spirit that used to exist in the UK is slowly fading away. To help address this, Desperados has introduced its Clubhouse series, fusing the old with the new - putting on the kind of legendary parties which were once known as the norm.
The pioneering acid house night Hot was the biggest night at The Haçienda during The Second Summer Of Love in 1988, with a list of alumni that included Sasha, James Baillie and Massive Attack. Techo/electro club Bugged Out! kicked off in November 1994 at Sankeys with Warp records' LFO, Autechre and Mark Broom. These two huge Manchester nights who will be given a new home for the weekend at Parklife in the Desperados Clubhouse. Hot will feature Andy 808 State (DJ), Graeme Park and Jon DaSilva while Bugged Out includes Artwork, Chaos In The CBD, Lemmy Ashton and Moxie.
We have a pair of tickets to be won to the festival on 10-11 June including VIP access to the Desperados Clubhouse and complimentary drinks. There's also transport and a one-night stay at the MacDonald Manchester Hotel (with breakfast included) staying in a twin room on Saturday 10 June.
You can also catch the likes of Frank Ocean, Stormzy, The 1975, Boy Better Know and more with one of the best festival line-ups anywhere this year.
