Coco & Clair Clair return with first new music in two years, “Coldplay"
Atlanta duo Coco & Clair Clair have released their new single, "Coldplay".
"Coldplay" follows the pair's second album Girl, released in 2024, a collection of songs that followed Coco & Clair Clair's experiences of touring the US and falling in love. Speaking about "Coldplay", which is the first of a two-song release, they explain: “This song encapsulates that one scene in Zola where the white girl is hanging out of the roof of the car and bouncing around with her tongue out before all hell breaks loose."
"It illustrates the duality of women and how we contain multitudes," they continue. "Black Cars and yellow cabs, cashmere and beer, longing for someone and hating him at the same time, expecting a private entrance into a dive bar, etc.”
Next month, Coco & Clair Clair are set to make two festival appearances, with slots at Just Like Heaven Festival in Los Angeles and Rally Festival in London. The companion track for "Coldplay" will also be coming soon.
"Coldplay" is out now
