Clutter announce debut album, Sugar Rush

16 June 2026, 10:00 | Written by Kayla Sandiford

Stockholm-based four-piece Clutter have revealed the details of their upcoming album, Sugar Rush, and shared their new single, "Grease Baby".

Formed while attending music high school in Stockholm, Clutter — comprised of Hilda Ander (vocals/guitar/bass), Emma French (vocals/guitar/bass), Ove Jerndal (guitar/keys) and Ville Scott (drums/keys) — went on to release their first EP, Loves You last April. "Grease Baby" arrives as the latest preview of their upcoming full-length work, following previous singles "GirlVsHeart" and "C.L.U.T.T.E.R.". It was written by French after a summer trip to Greece, and explores the experience of idolising someone while comparing yourself to them, and comes with a music video directed by Måns Nyman (Zara Larsson "Lush Life").

Speaking about the track, Clutter share: “'Grease Baby' paints a picture of a vacation. Of a never-ending summer and longing for something more, not quite knowing what. It's a warm and kraut like rock song with elements of pop. It's a happy sad song about yearning with a beautiful summer as a back-drop. Grease meets the sea.”

On the album, which features ten tracks produced by Jerndal spanning grunge and lo-fi sounds, Ander shares, “Loves You was about growing up, but now we're learning how to be adults whilst trying to stay true to our inner children. This album is about becoming an adult on your own terms. I don't want to feel like a teenager, but I still want to live as I want and do what I want to do.”
