Classic Trucks ready debut album Eventually with “Bird Underwater” single
Langkamer’s Josh Jarman has announced his debut album as Classic Trucks. The Bristol-based solo project will release Eventually on 4 February 2027 via Breakfast Records, and the new single “Bird Underwater” featuring Mumble Tide is out now.
Jarman said “Bird Underwater” was one of the first songs written for the project, inspired by '90s country classics such as Lucinda Williams and Jason Molina. He described it as “a song about loving somebody who feels far away, trying to hold onto them when it feels like they are just out of reach.”
The single arrives ahead of Eventually, which addresses the anxieties of becoming an artist in your thirties while carrying the baggage and neuroses of adulthood. It draws on Jarman’s influences – Neutral Milk Hotel, Bill Callahan, Songs: Ohia, and Sparklehorse – and in addition to Mumble Tide features Getdown Services, Flora Hibberd, and Naima Bock.
Classic Trucks will support World News at London’s Scala on 3 November and play the Breakfast Records showcase on Brick Lane on 19 November. Further dates include Bristol venues Louisiana on 10 November, the Lanes on 14 November, and Thekla on 8 December.
