Chicago dream pop act Immaterialize sign to Fire Talk imprint Angel Tapes
Immaterialize – the Chicago-based duo of Lipsticism and DJ Immaterial have announce their signing to Angel Tapes and present their new single, "It’s A Vision".
After a decade of performing and collaborating together, Lipsticism (Alana Schachtel) and DJ Immaterial (Erik Fure) AKA Immaterialize emerged in 2024. "It’s a Vision" marks Immaterialize’s return after more than a year of writing and recording their debut collection.
“The knife twist of hope, delusion, and denial after a loved one passes away,” Fure says of “It’s A Vision.” “Mistakenly thinking you see them, dreaming they’re actually still here, hoping there’s some sort of indication that their spirit or consciousness persists and can be present in our lives.”
Angel Tapes is the Chicago-based emerging artists imprint of Fire Talk Records. With an emphasis on new talent, Angel Tapes offers a platform for developing artists to release music in good faith. Immateralize join a roster which includes fellow Chicago artists Sleeper’s Bell and ira glass, as well as coastal rockers shower curtain and Jawdropped.
