Charli xcx announces new album Music, Fashion, Film, shares best album cover art of the year so far
Charli xcx's seventh album, Music, Fashion, Film, has been announced for a July 2026 release. The British artist has also shared its cover art, a black-and-white still of three industry titans in a nondescript kitchen.
John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese - one hell of a Mount Rushmore - feature on the cover art, which was shot by Aidan Zamiri. Zamiri directed The Moment, xcx's mockumentary film that premiered earlier this year at Sundance Film Festival. The record will include the previously issued tracks “SS26” and the room-splitting “Rock Music”.
Presumably, an unreleased third single will complete the pattern established by the title and be film-centric.
The singer and producer has won multiple BRIT and Grammy awards, and has increasingly moved into film – acting, writing, producing and scoring projects with directors including Takashi Miike, Greg Araki, and Cathy Yann. Music, Fashion, Film marks her first full-length release since 2024’s Brat. No tracklist or further details have been revealed at this stage.
