Charli XCX announced as executive producer for new Amazon comedy Overcompensating
A new comedy from Benito Skinner titled Overcompensating is in the works with Amazon Studios, and Charli XCX is on board as an executive producer.
Deadline reports that Overcompensating is a new comedy created by Benito Skinner, and is inspired by his life. It follows a Idaho football player called Benny who struggles to accept his sexuality in college, and overcompensates to convince himself he's something else in the process.
Skinner will executive produce alongside Charli XCX, who may also write music to the project. Back in July Charli XCX contributed new song "Hot Girl" to A24's Bodies Bodies Bodies film.
Jonah Hill’s Strong Baby productions is also on board alongside A24.
In October Charli XCX appeared on the Dua Lipa: At Your Service podcast, and named Alex G, daine and more as artists she thinks will be big in the coming years.
