Chalk drop double single, "Heaven / Hell"
Belfast post-punk and electronic duo Chalk have released their new tracks, "Heaven" featuring Phantogram's Sarah Barthel and producer cosign, and "Hell".
"Heaven / Hell" is the band's first new music since their debut album Crystalpunk released this year, and lands just as Chalk are gearing up to support Fontaines D.C. on their UK/EU arena tour. The pair of songs is also accompanied by an interactive website that allows users to journey through heaven or hell, with various challenges and hidden content to explore.
Discussing the accompanying visuals for "Heaven / Hell", director Benedict Goddard explains: "We've always wanted to make a double music video if we ever released an A/B-side, so this felt like the perfect opportunity. We were really drawn to the idea of fallen angels, exploring the contrast between heaven and hell, and the space somewhere in between. The video is presented as an old-school cinema double feature, complete with an intermission between the two tracks."
"Heaven / Hell" is out now on ALTER Music
