Ceremony drop new single, "Dark Summer"
California punk band Ceremony have released "Dark Summer", the latest preview of their upcoming seventh album, Tell Me Your Dream.
"Dark Summer" follows previous singles "Other Hells" and "Death Destruction Mayhem", arriving as a post-punk number which delves into both the darkness and the light.
Speaking about the song, singer Ross Farrar says: “In Rock ‘n Roll music, feedback occurs when a guitar is purposely moved too close to an amplifier – like a dark summer – when dread finds you amid brilliant sunshine, it feels disorienting, confusing, and chaotic. What you’re left with is malaise, doldrums of sorts that are both beautiful and terrifying.”
Tell Me Your Dream is released on 7 August via Relapse
